As a pastor, I just want to say that I’m sorry that this happened to you. It is heart breaking. I don’t get how Christians — especially leaders in churches — ignore everything Jesus says and then focus on law and order and fear and hatred. The bible is written to and for oppressed and exploited people. And it is heart breaking to see oppression and exploitation happen at the hands of those who claim to be followers of Jesus. I don’t know what Jesus these people worship, but I’m pretty sure it isn’t the same Jesus I worship.
