For me it starts by recognizing that the haters are broken and are dealing with that brokenness and pain by projecting their own pain onto others in order to feel better about themselves or to distract from their own brokenness and pain. Combine that with a foundational belief in the ends justify the means, and what you end up with is that there doesn't need to be a rational consistent argument like you've been making. It doesn't make sense to you because you are playing by a different set of rule - that there should be a consistent line of thinking, that Jesus stood for the poor and outcast, that logically speaking there are no white people in the Bible, etc. When the ends justify the means, then facts don't matter.

I read in a book recently that in order for the world to make sense, one has to be schizoid in their mind. You have to have a compartmentalized world. I think there is much truth to this. How else to make any sense of it all.

Blessings to you. And don't change. We need more people in the world who are whole, congruent, and try to be consistent.
