He surrounds himself with incompetent people because one way loyalty is the only thing that matters to him. They are all discardable. That's the amazing thing - you have to be really incompetent to realize that working for someone like him makes you disposable when ever you become inconvenient, a threat, or they need a scapegoat. Incompetence may save us after all.
