I hate the Culture Wars

I hate the Culture Wars. Like all wars, they are destructive, rely on scapegoats, are most interested in winning at all costs, and invested in creating enemies, hatred, and fear of the other.

And like all wars, no one actually wins. There is just a trail of destruction, brokenness, and a whole bunch of people who pay the consequences of the war they didn’t have a desire to fight in, while those who sat in comfort launched the war and are free of the consequences.

I hate culture wars because we’re so invested in winning against our enemies. Winning at all costs…
