I think there are many folks who don't have a concept of systemic vs. individual sins, if you want to call it that. So they assume that critique of a system they are a part of means that it is a personal critique and attack. I'm a Christian pastor, and I acknowledge that Christianity has done heinous things. And I'm a part of a that system as well. And like you said, we have a responsibility to do something.

Racism must end. And first it has to be acknowledged as existing within the church, supported by the church. And reparation needs to be made if we are ever to be truly honest about a radical reorientation from racism to shalom wholeness of community.
