I would argue that Trumpism, and MAGA as a whole, is founded on a simple, old belief - that the ends justify the means. When that is the case, then facts don't matter, unless they happen to support what you are doing. If they don't, they can just be disregarded. I've been saying that we have been wasting our time, as a society, and in the media, with fact checking, because of this. The ends justify the means quite literally means that everything and everyone is disposable, even the most strident supporters if need be.
