I'm also a runner and a writer. I totally get where you are coming from. So much of my writing has gone through my head on a run - sorting out ideas, testing arguments, listening, discerning. There is something that frees me when I run that has an impact on my writing. It's a wonderful thing. Thanks for writing about it and sharing your experience.
