Prayer for April 19, 2021

Prayer for April 21, 2021: Please pray with me. God who shows your wounds and who invites us to see them and touch them, we are scared. We’d rather run away and hide. We’d rather avert our eyes and pretend we don’t see them. But you are wounded. We have difficulty understanding that. We craft you and shape you into what we expect based on what we know about the world — that power is about a show of force. But your power if far different. You have no need to show force. Instead you empty yourself in love. Love does not force itself or others. It invites. You are an invitational God. Thank you. Keep inviting us…
