Prayer for December 8, 2021

Prayer for December 8, 2021: Please pray with me. God who guides us, help us follow your lead. You show us the way, your way. You plant it within us. You speak to us. And yet, we spin all that away trying to make it into some thing else. As if your guidance isn’t good enough as it is. Why do we do this? We don’t know. Soften our hearts and open our minds to receive your Word. Plant it in us that it may take root and grow. And let it bear fruit in us. Amen.

Call to Action: Listen for God today. Just sit in silence. Go outside. Stop talking. Turn off the noise around you. Notice the image of God in others. See Jesus in the poor, the outcast, the homeless, the outsider, the foreigner. What ever way that allows you to let go and to listen — do that today.
