Prayer for Election Day, 2020: Please pray with me. Blessed are you, O Lord our God, king of the universe. Today we pray for our nation as its citizens take up and complete their civic responsibility of voting. We pray that a spirit of wisdom would be instilled in all voters. We pray for all candidates, that they would seek the way of peace as results come in. We pray for compassion and empathy. We pray that those who are elected may seek to do what you call on all people to do — to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly.
