Prayer for February 14, 2022

Prayer for February 14, 2022: Please pray with me. God of love, you come to us as love. But do we really know what love is? Too many see you as just a giver of law, ready to crush anyone who breaks the law. Too many see you as short tempered. Too many see you as vengeful. Aren’t these just humans projecting themselves onto you though? Humans have shown over the eons to be more concerned with law and order, vengeance, and anger, rather than attempting to practice love. Teach us to love. Better yet, encounter us with your love in such a way that it transforms even the hardest of hearts. So that we may follow you in love. Amen.

Call to action: regardless of what others may do, practice love. If you aren’t sure of what that means, look at how the world responds and do the opposite.
