Prayer for October 28, 2020: Please pray with me. God of calm, you bring order out of chaos. But your order is not like human order. While we think of order as equal to being in control, your ways are different. Too often we lose sight of this. We try to control everything around us — often to the point in which we oppress, restrict, and manipulate so that others and things do exactly what we want. That’s not order though. That is controlling and it’s not healthy when it becomes more important than the freedom found in love. Love isn’t chaos. It is orderly, but not controlling. Amen.
