I agree with you about orthopraxy and orthodoxy. I definitely lean on the orthopraxy side of that spectrum. I also think that the two are actually quite beautiful together. They should inform each other. And when I talk with people who lean on orthodoxy, I often will ask what the point of correct belief is if we aren't living it.

My challenge with leaning on orthodoxy is that for me it seems to end up focusing on a thing - correct belief, rather than the inherent value and worth of that belief - the people. And I've seen too many times that when being right in belief is of the highest value, then people are dehumanized. And when being right is most important, then we take on an ends justify the means approach.
