Ugg, I'm so tired of "It's for your own good" brand of Christianity. This isn't anything new of course. It's about imposing a set of beliefs on others. The Fundamentalists have been doing this for a long time, conservative Evangelicals have too. The Puritans did it. So many during the Reformation did. The Catholics and the Orthodox did it before then. On and on back in time it goes. As far as I'm concerned, it's the first sin of humanity - the desire to control someone else "for their own good."
